Senior Procurement Manager


Short description

Within the Group Procurement department,  you will be responsible to ensure Country Procurement departments performance in the completion (quality, ESG, schedule, cost and documentation) of the tasks assigned to them, whilst ensuring continuous growth in maturity of the Procurement community in matters of Responsible Procurement in terms of activity and reporting (compliance, safety and respect of all applicable rules and regulations).


-To promote and continuously develop an Environmental – Social – Governance culture and approach in all Procurement activities & reporting across the Group

-To support the organization of local procurement departments, in matter of resources and talents, in cooperation with Country Procurement Coordinators (CPCs)

-To define and implement, in a harmonized way, purchase to pay procedures, end-to-end processes, and policies as per ISO standards and best practices

-To supervise and support harmonized implementation of new digital systems in relation to any procurement activity (i.e. MRO systems, Basware,…)

-To ensure that Purchase Orders are issued in compliance with the Procurement process, schedule, specifications, and budget (or target) requirements

-Support interfaces with Engineering & Technical departments in order to ensure that specifications are well defined to set optimum design to cost benefits

-To define and implement, supplier qualification process in order to develop and maintain a competitive bidders list per country and globally

-Monitor all procurement activities, propose and develop KPI & performance measurements with Group and local Finance & QHSE teams


-University degree in technology/mechanics

-/+ 10 years’ experience in procurement/supply chain within the port sector, a construction company, shipping company or similar industry

-Prior international experience as Procurement/Supply Chain Manager is a must

-Excellent knowledge and experience in procurement and supply chain processes, good negotiation skills, well-organized, can-do attitude

-Fluent in English, other languages are a plus

-Ready to travel 50% of time. Minimum one week per month in Belgium at our HQ in Kallo
