Joint investment in sustainable port logistics
We’re proud to share the signing of the contract for a large-scale solar installation at the Euroports’ terminals at right and left bank in the Port of Antwerp — marking the official start of an exciting new partnership.
With a total capacity of 4.2 MWp and a roof surface of 40,000 m², this project represents an important step towards more local, renewable energy production in the Antwerp port area.
A strong partnership for a sustainable future
This project is the result of a close, strategic collaboration between three partners:
- Euroports, benefiting from the locally generated green electricity;
- C-energy, managing the project development and long-term asset management throughout the 20-year contract;
- GETEC benelux, providing project financing and retaining ownership of the assets.
By combining expertise in logistics, energy solutions, and sustainable project development, this partnership creates a future-proof model for renewable energy in the port environment.
Euroports will enjoy a fully managed, turnkey solution — covering all technical, administrative, and financial aspects — while accessing locally produced, sustainable electrical power. A great example of how partnership drives the energy transition.
