The new port concession of Port-La Nouvelle, France, was inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Carole Delga, President of the Occitanie Region and Mr. Didier Codorniou, President of SEMOP. The initiative is the result of an innovative partnership with the Occitanie Region. The new port governance is co-managed by private companies and public actors, the first of its kind in France.
SEMOP Port-La Nouvelle has secured the necessary financing with leading European institutions for the construction of the new port infrastructures, which will include 3 terminals for liquid, wind turbines, bulk and breakbulk, as well as a logistics area of nearly 80 hectares.
Euroports is one of the shareholders in this new structure and the concessionaire of the terminals. The first terminal, dedicated to the eolic of shore sector, will be commissioned in September 2022. This is a strategic development for Euroports, and as indication of the importance of the project for the Group, Europort’s board of directors and ExCom were present in Port-La-Nouvelle.
