Five years ago, Port-La Nouvelle began a major transformation.

A new milestone has been reached in the development of the port infrastructure operated by Euroports at the Port-La Nouvelle port, with the official commissioning of the third terminal resulting from the port expansion project carried out by SEMOP PLN and its shareholders (the Occitanie Region, Banque des Territoires, DEME Concessions, Euroports Port-La Nouvelle, Qair and the Aude Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Three brand-new terminals, built to the highest industry standards, have been developed to meet the growing demand for commercial exchanges, improve the port’s competitiveness in regional and international markets, secure existing traffic flows and support the emerging offshore wind sector.

The Project Cargo Terminal has become a central hub for the emerging floating wind industry in the Mediterranean. This multipurpose heavy infrastructure has supported EOLMED and EFGL projects by accommodating port logistics and final assembly of the floaters and the turbines.

The RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) terminal enables the handling of all types of trailers, wheeled cargo and heavy cargo, further enhancing the port’s logistics connectivity and its ability to manage diverse industrial flows.

The liquid bulk terminal opens the port to new industrial logistics chains, providing solutions adapted to the evolving energy markets and enabling the handling of emerging low-carbon and renewable liquid products.

Beyond their operational benefits, the commissioning of these three terminals, delivered within the expected timeframe, represents both a strong strategic commitment to the modernisation of logistics infrastructure and the economic development of the region, while also demonstrating Euroports’ expertise as a port terminal operator and its ability to develop and deliver greenfield projects.
