Manuport Logistics NV, a member of the Euroports Group, acquires MAWYC Group forwarding services
PRESS RELEASE
Antwerp, March 23, 2018
Manuport Logistics NV (MPL), a member of the Euroports Group, has reached an agreement with the MAWYC Group regarding the acquisition of MAWYC Group’s forwarding activities.
With the decision to transfer the sea forwarding activities, previously mostly handled by Lalemant NV, to the Manuport Logistics Group, both groups are confident to have found the best possible solution for their respective clients, employees and suppliers, offering the best perspectives to all stakeholders involved. MAWYC‘s airfreight activities (KDL International) and customs division (Theo Machtelynck & Zoon) are not affected by this agreement.
MPL brings in a broad service portfolio to the existing MAWYC customers, by providing a wide range of value added services. At the same time MAWYC brings in a prime range of customers from, for MPL familiar, market segments such as chemicals, minerals, dredging and consumer goods. MPL has a broad global network, which gives the customers an international reach. That way both companies strengthen each-others capabilities.
In addition, MAWY brings in a work force with a valuable logistics expertise. This, in combination with MPL’s state of the art IT systems, assures the customers full transparency of their freight flows, efficient documentation flow, and much more.
The two companies bring together the best of both worlds by strengthening the service offering, enlarging the capabilities and assuring global coverage for the markets they serve.
