As “Information Security Officer” you will become part of the Group IT Organization and will report directly into Euroports Chief Information Officer.

Goal of the position

Euroports IT mission is to enable Euroports with IT solutions to reach its strategic targets and deliver profitable growth. We have worked hard to establish a group wide cloud-based state of the art IT platform and have very ambitious plans to enhance this platform and adopt innovative solutions that drive Euroports growth. We are looking for a dynamic professional to help us define and implement the IT security strategy ensuring our business is protected at all times against security threats and cyber-hacking. In this role you actively contribute to the goal of making the security processes of Euroports more mature.

You are a conceptual thinker and at the same time a practical executive and a result-oriented professional. You are an action-oriented, enthusiastic, convincing, honest and competent colleague who can develop and implement policies and at the same time drive the organization forward in becoming more secure and security aware. You also have experience in obtaining buy-in in a large international organization with divergent interests and you know how to put information security on the map. You are good at bringing people together, encouraging cooperation and uniting differentiated interests into accepted goals. Finally, you are well informed about current developments in the field of information security.

Some of your key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IT security vision and roadmap
  • Develop and maintain IT security policy
  • Translate IT security policy into SMART actions and projects
  • Project management of IT security projects
  • Monitor compliance with IT security standards and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, …)
  • Analyze and identify IT security risks
  • Conduct a continuous assessment of current IT security practices and systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Improve IT security awareness in the organization
  • Develop procedures to handle security incidents and trigger investigations – oversee the investigation of security incidents


We expect from you:

  • BSc / MSc degree
  • Additional courses / courses in the field of information security, information management or IT-audit and security architecture (ISO27001, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GICSP, ISMS, etc.). Certifications are preferred
  • At least 5-8 years of practical experience and knowledge of information security
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid people management skills : providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff and building a positive working environment
  • A passion for technology and security safeguarding with a desire to deliver
  • The ability to drive the IT security strategy forward
  • A sense of business partnerships that help drive the IT security strategy forward
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking and new security technologies
  • Flexibility and adaptability in order to change direction where required and show flexibility to meet new demands
  • Decision making skills
  • A strong  focus on seeking collaboration and creativity in finding solutions and ways to achieve set goals
  • Multi-tasking : you can manage several concurrent projects / demands and are able to prioritize
