02 Dec Inauguration of our new warehouse in China

At Euroports China, our new warehouse has been inaugurated on our Zhuhai (Gaolan) Terminal, with a total space of over 10000 SQM (almost 2 football fields!) containing 33000-ton storage capacity.

For safety, we have a new automatic water beamer, triggered by infrared heat sensors, for firefighting instead of a classic sprinkler system. In this way, we can fight eventual fires more effectively, while safeguarding the goods from water damage.

The warehouse is specially designed for “breakbulk/container in and container out operations” and is targeting Pulp and Paper reels as main commodities, there are two designated platforms with dock levelers for breakbulk in containers and also for efficient container unstuffing.

The warehouse makes full use of LED lighting for energy-saving and high visibility in the warehouse.

A rainwater harvesting system is incorporated in the construction of the warehouse.
