15 Nov Great leaders find ways to connect with people and help them fulfill their potential.
One of the strengths of Euroports is the positive atmosphere between our colleagues. Sharing our passion enforces our team every day.
We believe in connecting people, great teamwork and personal growth.
One example is our unique Euroports Leadership Development Program, which offers colleagues from different countries and entities of the Group the chance to connect and to get to know more about themselves and their leadership styles.
Our ELP has a unique approach incomparable to mainstream development programs. The uniqueness of our program lies in the combination of several modules, mainly consisting of experiential learning, combined with integrated e-coaching and project work. Terminal visits, inspirational keynote speakers, teambuilding activities and interesting reading material make the immersive learning experience complete.
2021 Edition of the ELP
The 2021 edition of this Program took place in Belgium, Germany and Spain. The three modules covered topics like my own identity, team spirit and corporate culture. 14 participants from Belgium, Finland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Monaco and Burkina Faso completed the program in November 2021.
The highly interactive and collaborative learning sessions onsite were facilitated by eCoachPro and combined with continuous personal coaching for each participant in their native language. It is great to be able to work in partnership with eCoachPro and several renowned keynote speakers who shared valuable insights with us.
Thank you to eCoachPro, Theo Compernolle and Rik Vera for sharing and connecting with us.
Theo Compernolle talked about self-leadership and the optimal use of our brains. www.compernolle.com
Rik Vera supported us to embrace our future and find our place in the ecosystem economy. We were happy to be the first ones to get the hard copy book “The Guide to the Ecosystem economy”. https://www.rikvera.
How did our participating colleagues experience the ELP?
Quote by Matthijs Luyckx: “It was a very informative program that I consider an investment in my personal and professional growth. It was much more than just a training or education and I am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to participate.”
Quote by Sabine Mesnier: “We are all different and this program suits all due to the different learning formats. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to be part of this adventure both on a personal and professional level.”
Which of the projects (Employer Branding, Smart Port of the Future, Affordable and Clean Energy, Merger & Acquisition Project) that were presented resonated with you the most and why?
Matthijs Luyckx: “All four topics were determined by the Excom for a good reason. They are linked to challenges that Euroports is already facing today and which will remain high on the agenda in the future.
Personally, I am most closely involved in the ‘Affordable and clean energy’ theme in my day-to-day job. I found the project work of my colleagues to be a good addition to our current initiatives. Our ambition is to get all our employees (every country, every department and every level) on board with the sustainability story in order to integrate it effectively into our business strategy.”
Sabine Mesnier: “The most fascinating topic was the emotional intelligence & Self-awareness, a way to better understand our drives, our vulnerabilities, to be more self-aware, and to know your leadership style”.
What of the different topics in the program was the most fascinating?
Matthijs Luyckx: “The composition and structure of the topics discussed during the three modules were very well built up. Step by step, the concept of leadership was addressed from different angles, demonstrating the breadth and complexity of this theme.”
Can you give a quote to describe the event?
Matthijs Luyckx: “Great leaders find ways to connect with people and help them fulfill their potential.”
Sabine Mesnier: “a break to think, to grow, to share knowledge & emotions and to connect with new people within the organization, a break that makes you feel better in a VUCA world !”
