This report shows how the Euroports Group is translating sustainability ambitions into practical action across its terminals and Manuport Logistics’ international freight forwarding network while continuing to strengthen the data, governance and reporting processes needed for future CSRD-compliant reporting.
Decarbonisation: Steady Progress Towards 2030 Target
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions remains a central priority for Euroports. In 2025, relative emissions, measured per kiloton of cargo handled, fell by 8.2%, representing a cumulative reduction of 29.5% since the baseline year. This brings us another step closer to our target of reducing GHG emissions by 40% by 2030.
This progress is supported by the gradual electrification of terminal equipment, energy-efficiency measures, lower-emission technologies and a growing share of renewable electricity.
Antwerp Solar Project: 4.2 MWp of On-Site Renewable Generation
A major milestone was the launch of a large-scale rooftop solar project across Euroports terminals in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Developed with C-energy and GETEC Benelux, the installation covers approximately 40,000 m² and will deliver 4.2 MWp of locally generated renewable electricity from early 2026.
Renewable Electricity: From 12% to 47% in One Year
The share of renewable electricity consumed across Euroports operations also increased significantly in 2025, reaching 47%, compared to 12% in 2024. This was driven by the transition to 100% green electricity in Finland, continued progress in Belgium and renewable electricity sourcing across other locations.
Enabling Circular and Alternative Energy Value Chains together with our Clients
Euroports continues to use its port infrastructure and logistics expertise to support the transition of its customers and wider value chains.
- At the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Euroports is supporting SynPet Technologies in the development of an advanced plastics recycling facility that will convert mixed plastic waste into circular raw materials.
- In Port-La Nouvelle, Euroports supported the assembly of floating offshore wind turbines, strengthening the port’s role in the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the Mediterranean.
Safety: Advancing towards Vision Zero
Safety remains the foundation of sustainable performance at Euroports. In 2025, the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate decreased to 7.1 per million worked hours, compared with 8.7 in 2024. This reflects continued investments in safety governance, operational improvements, training and dialogue with frontline teams, marking a strong safety year for Euroports.
Euroports is formalising its long-term ambition under the Vision Zero approach, which will be further developed and implemented throughout 2026.
People: Engagement at 91%
Euroports employs approximately 2,868 people across more than 20 countries. The 2025 Wellbeing Pulse Survey achieved a response rate of 72%, up from 54% in the previous edition, with 91% of respondents reporting that they feel engaged at work. Female representation across the total workforce stands at 29.5%, reaching 47.2% among white-collar employees.
The report also highlights continued investments in leadership development, employee wellbeing, community engagement and cross-border collaboration across the Group.
To support the next phase of its sustainability journey, Euroports has initiated the selection of a Group-wide ESG reporting and data management tool.
