Today, the first fully electric Liebherr crane (LPS420E) in Europe has been handed over to Euroports bulk terminal in the port of Rostock. The electric LPS420E is the fourth new crane in the Euroports German fleet, and it is equipped with the latest technology which supports the Euroports’ 40% reduction path of CO2 emissions by 2030.
The crane will be used to handle all types of goods, including building materials, ores, lime, gypsum, wood chips, etc. The LPS420E can move up to 75 tonnes of bulk material and 124 tonnes in hook operation. With a maximum outreach of 48 meters, ships up to the Panamax class can be served.
During the handover of the new crane, another Liebherr crane (LHM 550) was loaded for Euroports in Italy.
