All hands on deck for our Tarragona operations!

Our team in Tarragona has successfully coordinated the complex loading of two large yachts at the Port of Tarragona, bound for Port Rashid in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). This operation, conducted at the Aragon dock, is another proof of our team’s expertise in managing specialised cargo.

The operation, commissioned by Maritima Davila Bilbao, lasted a total of three days and included the loading of multiple objects accounting for a combined 381 tonnes onto the vessel Caspian Harmony.

The process unfolded in two phases: first, four tanks were loaded into the ship’s hold, including one weighing 145 tonnes. In the second phase, the yachts were securely positioned on the deck using the vessel’s integrated cranes.

Cargo Highlights

The yachts, a Riva 66 and a Mangusta 80, are remarkable vessels in their own right. The Riva 66 measures 21 metres in length, 5 metres in width, and 7 metres in height, weighing 48 tonnes. The Mangusta 80, the larger of the two, measures 24 metres in length, 5 metres in width, and 6 metres in height, with a weight of 58 tonnes.

Complementary technical work, such as welding and precise mooring, ensured the cargo’s stability for its journey across thousands of kilometres to Dubai. A team of divers operated from the water, securing the yachts and safeguarding their integrity throughout the transport.
